The documentary that we have watched talked about the views of women in media, how women ar reresented. It was definitely an eye opener consdering how unexpected and maddening some of the things they have talked about. The issue some of us still face today are the stereotypical assumptions of people towards each other. The assumptions are definitely unfair and limiting. If people keep thinking of these things, not only is it frustrating we are also restricted and think that maybe we can't go beyond what people think. Our mindset would change and think maybe we are suppose to act like this and only do things like this. Now with the society today, things definitely are changing and people are taking action but so far the issue is still an issue. People are still gender discriminating and stereotypical assumptions are still being made. The media has a big affect on these assumptions as well. How they represent people, boys and girls are total miseading and wrong.Girls shouldn't be presented as just pretty and cooking all the time and boys shouldn't be presented as being tough and manly all the time. The media is over emhasizing traits and it gets viewe wrongly by society.
