Final Assessment

Participation

I feel as if I am doing well with my participation. I  bring my gym strip whenever I go to class and am punctual. I make the most of the time we have in class and do my best in every activity we do. My effort and participation level is great, especially during our fitness days. (I actually do quite enjoy some of the fitness activities) I do my best to motivate myself and others and cheer them on. I try to have fun in class and smile and be cheerful. I participate in all of the things we do and always assist in setting up nets and cleaning up afterwards.

Social Responsibility and Contribution

Whenever I go to class I try to always bring a positive energy and be optimistic. I motivate others and always encourage them to do their best. I tell my peers after doing our activity that they did a good job or that they tried their best. I am the type of person that follows along and does not object or complain and is okay with everything. I work well and cooperate with others but I can also do activities on my own such as in fitness days when doing the pond run or the 30 second exercises for 20 minutes, I can work independently and focus by myself. I help with setting up equipment necessary for the activity we are doing and assist in cleaning it all up afterwards. I always try to have fun in class and also try to urge people to have fun as well.

Healthy Living

My fitness scores have improved since the beginning of the semester. I feel as if my stamina has grown longer and I learned to pace myself whenever we are running for long periods of time. Before I was always rushing and giving it my all in the beginning of every activity and dying out and slowing down afterwards but now I learned to pace myself and to control and stay consistent, that way I can conserve my energy and run longer. Outside of Get Fit class, I am a part of the school dance team. I love to dance and dancing helps me stay fit and in shape. For warm ups (before dancing) we sometimes run two laps around the lower field or around the school and do some stretches and cardio exercises afterwards. Next year I also plan on joining the dance team again. I try to be conscious of what I eat. I eat all three meals a day and drink milk almost every night. I love fruits, especially cantaloupes. I try to eat at least one type of fruit everyday. I have also lessen the amount of junk food and pop I consume.

Reflective Skills and Blog Posts

In my opinion the blogs we do are very helpful. They help us reflect on the events that have happened in class and how well we did. The blogs also helps us remember and it documents the events and memories. It also stands as evidence of our learning. I have succeeded in posting at least once a month. I try to be consistent and update my blog constantly. Throughout the semester I have done a sufficient amount of blog posts. Looking back and rereading them I really have come a long way. My posts mostly is about events and how well I personally did in them such as the "Hill Run" post it makes me think back on how I did in that activity and how I have improved now. I think I deserve a B, 80%. :)

Aim Games

Aim Games is such a memorable and entertaining event! I am so glad I participated in it. Seeing all the different kinds of people come together to help and participate in various activities was so much fun.   I helped out and assisted in baseball and during our breaks we visited different stations such as dance and wheel chair basketball. I loved seeing how much fun people were having and how they tried to do their best in the activities. The efforts they gave was so impressive and just watching them have fun was  enjoyable enough. My favourite part of the event was the dance they did at the ending ceremony. It was so cute and seeing how they were smiling through out the performance was so wonderful. I am very glad I had the opportunity to be a part of this event and hopefully in the future I will be given the chance to do it again. :)

Bowling

Bowling was so much fun!! I would definitely try to do this activity more often with my friends or family. I had such a great time, ordering nachos and making strikes. Even though I didn't win we had a lot of fun, it was definitely memorable. I learned how to somewhat bowl properly and hopefully in the future I'll be able to make more strikes.

Hill Run

The hill run was very exhausting. It really pushed me to the limit and I felt like I made great effort towards my fitness. Although I felt like puking and my body felt really sore afterwards, it made me feel really satisfied and great. I feel as though everyone really tried their best and the hill run was a success. Hopefully the next time we do the hill run we'll try to show more effort and work harder!

Report Card

For my attendance in Get Fit class I try to keep it constant but there are days where I am absent due to reasons such as sick, injured and not feeling well. Although for most days I do attend class and try my best in every activity we do especially during fitness days. I participate well in activities and encourage others to do the same. I really do like some fitness days because it helps us be more active and healthy. I try to make the most of every activity and really push myself to do my best in everything we do. I am very open-minded and optimistic about trying new activities in our class. I try to assist other classmates when they need help or is confused and I try to welcome new people in our class. I can work independently and/ or also with others. For the remainder of this course I will try my best to post more blog assessments and updates. I will work harder for our fitness days and try to improve my pace. I have been working on my pace whenever we do pond runs and I do feel that I am improving. I will also try to improve my stamina and hopefully I will reach this goal by the end of this course. Also the mark I think I deserve is B.  :)

Fencing

Last week we have done fencing. Fencing was a really nice and exciting activity and I am glad that we had the opportunity to take part in it. It was a new experience and it seemed that everyone had fun doing it. Learning the different, unique skills in fencing was a little tiring but a lot of fun, the footwork especially. It really help build some muscles in my legs and especially in my arms considering they were always being used in fencing. Getting to verse our friends as well was entertaining seeing as everyone participated and tried their best to learn and do the activity. I learned a lot of new things and experienced learning fencing for the first time so I'm very glad we did it. All in all it was a very good and I hope in the future we get to do more similar activities like this where everyone can participate and have fun!

Interm

My best attributes in Get Fit class is that I try my best especially during our fitness days and that I try to have fun and make the most of the activities that we do. I try to be optimistic and energetic daily in class and I try to give a very cheerful energy. I have missed a few classes due to absents and other activities that I attend and I have missed bringing gym clothes a few times but on most days I do come prepared and ready. What motivates me the most to do my best in each activity is that in some days the one hour and fifteen minutes we get of exercising might be the only time we exercise daily so we should take advantage of it.
